Powered entirely by water flow, the DIA4ALVF operates without electricity using a hydraulic diaphragm motor. As water passes through the unit it drives the internal motor, which simultaneously activates the dosing piston to draw concentrate from a chemical container and inject it into the water stream. This design ensures the dosing rate remains proportional to the volume of water entering the pump regardless of variations in pressure or flow.

Does the Dosatron DIA need electricity?
No. The DIA operates using water pressure as the power source. Water flow activates the diaphragm motor, which draws concentrate from the container and injects it proportionally into the water line.
What flow rate does the Dosatron DIA handle?
The DIA Series operates from 4.5 L/h to 2.5 m³/h, which is approximately 0.02 to 11 US GPM.
What pressure range does the DIA operate at?
The operating pressure depends on the model. The DIA 2F operates from 0.15 to 5.5 bar, while the DIA 4 RE operates from 0.15 to 4 bar.
What dosing ratios are available?
The DIA 2F has a fixed injection rate of 2%, equal to 1:50. The DIA 4 RE is adjustable from 1% to 4%, equal to 1:100 to 1:25.

Yes. The manual states that a 1.5 metre head of water, equal to approximately 0.15 bar, is enough to start the DIA unit under factory test conditions with free outlet. The actual installation should allow for pressure loss from filters, hoses, check valves and other fittings.
What maintenance is required?
The injection area should be rinsed after use by drawing clean water through the suction tube. Dosatron recommends routine maintenance once per year, including replacing the injection seals and suction hose annually to maintain proper injection.
