Dosatron D45RE8VF Standard 3–8% Water Powered Dosing Pump

The Dosatron D45 Series is a high-flow, water-powered proportional dosing pump designed to inject liquid concentrate directly into a water line. It is suitable for irrigation, fertigation, livestock, water treatment and general chemical dosing applications where proportional dosing is required.

No. The D45 operates using water pressure as the power source. Water flow activates the internal motor piston, which draws concentrate from the container, mixes it with the water and sends the treated solution downstream.

The D45 Series operates from 100 L/h to 4.5 m³/h, which is approximately 0.4 to 20 US GPM.

The operating pressure range is 0.5 to 5 bar, or approximately 7 to 70 PSI.

The D45 Series includes several dosing ranges depending on the model: 0.03% to 0.1%, 0.2% to 1.5%, 0.5% to 3%, and 3% to 8%. This covers ratios from 1:3000 through to 1:12.5.

The D45 uses 1¼" BSP external thread connections, listed as Ø33 x 42mm. US models use 1" NPT external thread connections, listed as Ø26.1mm.

The package includes 1 Dosatron unit, 1 mounting bracket, 1 suction tube for concentrated additive, 1 strainer, and 1 owner’s manual. US models also include 2 inlet/outlet connectors with seals, and IE models include an external injection suction tube.

The maximum suction height is 4 metres / 13 feet. The suction hose should be fitted with its strainer and weight, then placed into the solution to be injected.

Yes. The D45 can be installed directly inline or on a bypass, with bypass installation recommended. This allows clean water to pass without operating the Dosatron and makes the unit easier to isolate or remove for servicing.

The injection area should be rinsed after use by drawing clean water through the suction hose. Dosatron recommends routine maintenance once per year, including replacing the injection seals and suction hose annually to maintain accurate dosing.
