Product Overview
The Dosatron D9GL5VF Greenline is a non-electric proportional dosing pump designed for accurate injection of liquid concentrates directly into a flowing water line. Powered entirely by water pressure, the unit automatically doses additives with an externally adjustable ratio from 1% to 5%, delivering reliable and consistent chemical injection without the need for electricity.
Installed directly inline with the water supply, the Dosatron uses water flow as its power source. As water passes through the unit, it activates the simplified hydraulic motor and dosing system, drawing concentrate from a container and injecting it proportionally into the water stream. This ensures accurate dosing regardless of fluctuations in water pressure or flow rate.
The D9 Greenline Series is designed for demanding irrigation and fertigation installations where dependable chemical dosing is essential. Its simplified motor design, enhanced chemical compatibility and easy maintenance make it ideal for fertilisation, acidification, treatment and irrigation dosing systems in agricultural environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Dosatron D9 Series used for?
The Dosatron D9 Series is a water-powered proportional dosing pump designed to inject liquid concentrate directly into a water line. It is suitable for larger irrigation, fertigation, water treatment, livestock, and chemical dosing applications where accurate proportional dosing is required.
Does the Dosatron D9 need electricity?
No. The D9 operates using water pressure as the only power source. As water flows through the unit, it draws in the concentrate, doses it to the selected percentage, mixes it with the water, and sends the solution downstream.
What flow rate does the Dosatron D9 handle?
The D9 Series operates from 500 L/h to 9 m³/h, which is approximately 2.2 to 40 US GPM.
What pressure range does the D9 operate at?
The operating pressure depends on the selected model. The D9WL3000 and D9WL2 operate from 0.3 to 8 bar, while the D9WL3000IE and D9WL5 operate from 0.5 to 8 bar.
What dosing ratios are available?
The D9 Series includes multiple dosing ranges depending on the model. The D9WL3000 doses from 0.03% to 0.2%, the D9WL2 doses from 0.2% to 2%, and the D9WL5 doses from 1% to 5%. This covers ratios from 1:3000 through to 1:20.
What connection size does the Dosatron D9 use?
The D9 uses 1½" male BSP or NPT connections, listed as Ø40 x 49mm. It can be connected using suitable 40mm internal diameter flexible pipe and swivel fittings.
What is included with the Dosatron D9?
The package includes 1 Dosatron unit, 1 mounting bracket, 1 suction hose for concentrate, 1 strainer, and 1 quick start guide. The IE models also include the external injection kit.
What is the maximum suction height?
The maximum suction height is 4 metres / 13 feet. The suction hose should be fitted with the strainer and ballast, and the strainer should sit around 10cm above the bottom of the solution tank to avoid drawing in sediment.
What filtration is required before the Dosatron D9?
An upstream filter is recommended and required for warranty validity. Dosatron recommends filtration such as 130 micron / 120 mesh or finer, depending on water quality. This is especially important when using bore water, well water, dam water or surface water.
What maintenance is required?
The Dosatron should be flushed with clean water after use, especially when changing chemicals. Annual maintenance is recommended, including replacing the dosing seals and the additive suction hose at least once per year.
