Product Overview
The Dositec 60AG-185/3 Turbine Agitator is a compact, heavy-duty mixing solution designed for chemical dosing tanks and water treatment applications up to 600 litres. Powered by a 185W three-phase motor, it operates at approximately 1,400 rpm and uses a purpose-designed double-action turbine to circulate liquid throughout the tank.
The six-jet turbine combines three radial jets to rotate the liquid with three axial jets that move product from the bottom of the tank towards the surface. This helps produce consistent mixing while reducing the risk of product settling at the base of the tank.
The agitator is supplied with a 1.1-metre AISI 304 stainless steel shaft, a 90mm polypropylene turbine and a polypropylene flange mounting assembly. The shaft can be shortened during installation where required to suit the tank depth.
Suitable for mixing water-soluble liquids and soluble solids in applications such as fertiliser preparation, chemical dosing, irrigation, water treatment and process tanks.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Dositec 60AG-185/3 used for?
The Dositec 60AG-185/3 is designed to mix liquid chemicals and water-soluble products in dosing, irrigation, fertigation and water treatment tanks. Its turbine produces both radial and axial circulation to help mix the full tank volume and reduce settling at the bottom.
What tank size is this agitator suitable for?
This model is suitable for tanks up to approximately 600 litres, with a recommended maximum tank diameter of around 0.8 metres.
Does the agitator require three-phase power?
Yes. The 60AG-185/3 uses a 185W three-phase motor designed for approximately 230–430V, 50Hz operation. Electrical installation should be completed by a qualified electrician.
What is the shaft length?
The agitator is supplied with a 1.1-metre stainless steel shaft. The manufacturer allows the shaft to be shortened during installation when required to suit the tank depth.
Can the shaft be cut to suit a smaller tank?
Yes. The stainless steel shaft can be shortened using a suitable hand saw. After cutting, the turbine must be removed and correctly refitted to the new shaft end before operation.
What materials are used in the wetted components?
The agitator uses an AISI 304 stainless steel shaft, a polypropylene turbine, a polypropylene flange and AISI 304 stainless steel fasteners. These materials are suitable for many common dosing and agricultural chemical applications.
Can the agitator run if the tank level is low?
No. The turbine must remain fully submerged while the agitator is operating. Running the unit with the turbine exposed can damage the equipment and create unsafe operating conditions.
What is the maximum liquid viscosity?
The recommended maximum liquid viscosity is 80mPa·s, with a maximum liquid density of 1.5g/cm³. For thicker or heavier products, suitability should be checked before installation.
What operating temperature can it handle?
The standard operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C. Applications above 50°C should be reviewed with the manufacturer before use.
Does the motor need overload protection?
Yes. Suitable motor overload protection must be installed according to the motor specifications. The motor must also be correctly earthed and wired to rotate in the direction indicated by the manufacturer.
