Product Overview
50mm multi-jet dry-dial water meter with BSP threaded connections, PN16 pressure rating and optional 10L pulse output.
The Zenner MTKD-N 50mm Multi-Jet Water Meter provides accurate measurement of cold, clean drinking water and service water in residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial applications.
Its multi-jet measuring mechanism distributes water evenly across the impeller, supporting reliable measurement with low bearing load and a long service life. A protected magnetic coupling transfers the measurement to the dry-dial register, keeping the display separated from the water.
The brass meter body is designed for 50mm nominal pipework and is suitable for horizontal or vertical installation. The register rotates through approximately 355°, making readings easier across different installation positions. Zenner lists the DN50 version with a 2" meter connection and a 2 1/2" nominal diameter option depending on configuration.
The DN50 version provides a permanent flow rate of up to 25,000L/h, with an overload flow rate of up to 31,300L/h. The meter is designed for cold water applications up to 50°C and has a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar.
Choose the standard version for manual meter readings or the pulse-output version for connection to compatible monitoring equipment, irrigation controllers, data loggers and remote reading systems. The MTKD-N supports a standard 1L/pulse output and an optional 10L/pulse configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Zenner MTKD-N 50mm used for?
It measures the volume of cold, clean drinking water or service water in residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial systems. Zenner specifies the MTKD-N for unpolluted drinking water or service water up to 50°C.
What is the flow range?
The 50mm version has a permanent flow rate of up to 25,000L/h and an overload flow rate of up to 31,300L/h. The minimum flow rate depends on the selected metrological configuration and installation position.
What type of connections does the 50mm meter use?
The DN50 version is available with threaded connection configurations, including a 2" meter connection. Confirm the exact supplied connector configuration when setting up inventory and product photography.
Can it be installed vertically?
Yes. The MTKD-N is designed for horizontal and vertical installation, with the applicable measuring range depending on installation position and metrological configuration.
What is the difference between the standard and pulse-output options?
The standard version is intended for manual meter readings. The pulse-output version can provide pulse signals for compatible remote displays, data loggers, controllers or monitoring systems. The MTKD-N supports 1L/pulse as standard and an optional 10L/pulse configuration.
Does the pulse version require power?
The meter itself is mechanical. The connected monitoring or control equipment may require its own power supply.
Is it suitable for dirty irrigation water?
No. This meter is intended for clean or unpolluted water. A suitable irrigation or tangential paddle meter should be selected for water containing substantial debris or contamination.
