Dositec FERTIC® Hydraulic Adjustable Fertiliser Injection Pump

The Dositec FERTIC® is a hydraulic dosing pump designed to inject liquid fertilisers and water-soluble fertiliser solutions into irrigation systems. It is commonly used in fertigation, horticulture, nurseries, greenhouses and agricultural irrigation.

No. The FERTIC® is water powered and operates using pressure from the irrigation system, making it suitable for remote sites or installations where electrical power is unavailable.

The FERTIC® can inject up to approximately 500 litres per hour, depending on the available water pressure. The actual output increases with operating pressure, so the manufacturer’s flow curve should be used when selecting and setting the pump.

The recommended operating pressure range is 1 to 12 bar. The pump will not operate correctly without sufficient water pressure, and injection capacity will vary across this pressure range.

Yes. The FERTIC® has a micrometric adjustment valve on top of the pump that controls the fertiliser flow. The valve moves from minimum to maximum opening in approximately three to four turns.

No. The pump is installed across two connection points on the irrigation system and does not create a pressure loss through the main irrigation pipeline.

The FERTIC® uses approximately twice the injected fertiliser flow in drive water. For example, an injection rate of 100 L/h requires approximately 200 L/h of drive water.

It is designed for liquid fertilisers and fully dissolved, water-soluble fertilisers. Polypropylene and FPM are used in the wetted components, providing resistance to many common agricultural chemicals. Chemical compatibility should still be confirmed for aggressive or unusual products.

Yes. The hydraulic drive water must be discharged through a free drain line or returned to the suction side of the irrigation pump. The drain outlet must not be positioned higher than the FERTIC® pump.

A typical installation includes 1/2-inch isolation valves, flexible hose, a mesh filter, hose clamps, a non-return valve and an anti-siphon valve. The anti-siphon valve must be installed at least 0.5m above the fertiliser level, and the suction filter should not draw directly from the bottom of the tank.
