Product Overview
The AZUD Helix Automatic 200 DLP is a self-cleaning disc filtration system designed for irrigation water containing high levels of suspended organic and inorganic particles.
This FT204 configuration combines four 50mm Helix disc filter pods with a DN160 polymer manifold and automatic backwashing system. AZUD’s patented Helix centrifugal technology creates a spinning water flow around the disc stack, helping separate heavier particles before they reach the filtration surface. This reduces particle build-up, backwash frequency and cleaning-water consumption.
The 130-micron three-dimensional disc stack provides both surface and depth filtration. When cleaning is required, the system automatically reverses the water flow through each filter element, expanding and rotating the discs to release trapped contaminants. The filter continues delivering water during its programmed cleaning cycle.
AZUD DLP technology allows effective backwashing at lower operating pressures, helping reduce the energy requirements of the filtration system.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum flow rate of this filter?
The AZUD Helix Automatic 204 provides a maximum flow rate of 96m³/hr with 130-micron discs. Actual capacity may vary depending on water quality and system pressure.
How does the automatic cleaning system work?
During backwashing, the water flow through each filter element is reversed sequentially. The disc stack expands and rotates, allowing trapped particles to be flushed from the system automatically while maintaining filtered water supply.
What does Helix centrifugal technology do?
Helix centrifugal technology creates a spinning water movement inside the filter. This helps separate heavier particles before they reach the disc stack, reducing filter loading and the frequency of backwashing.
What pressure is required for automatic cleaning?
The system requires a minimum backwashing pressure of approximately 1.5 bar. The minimum normal working pressure is 0.8 bar, subject to the system design and operating conditions.
Does the system include a controller?
A compatible automatic controller is required to manage the cleaning cycle. The controller and associated hydraulic control equipment may need to be ordered separately unless specifically included in your quotation.
What type of water can this filter handle?
It is designed to remove suspended organic and inorganic particles from irrigation water, including poor-quality water and water containing organic fertilisers. A water analysis is recommended where salinity, chemicals or unusual contaminants are present.
