Tefen MixRite TF5 Standard 0.5–5% Water Powered Dosing Pump

The MixRite TF5 is a water-powered proportional dosing pump designed to inject fertiliser, chemicals or other liquid additives directly into a water line. It is suitable for irrigation, fertigation, livestock dosing, water treatment and general chemical injection applications.

No. The MixRite TF5 is driven by water flow and water pressure, so it does not require electrical power. The flow of water through the injector activates the pump and injects additive proportionally into the water line.

The MixRite TF5 operates from 0.02 to 5 m³/h, which is approximately 0.088 to 22 GPM.

The operating pressure range is 1 to 8 bar, or approximately 14.7 to 120 PSI.

The MixRite TF5 is available in adjustable dosing ranges of 0.1% to 1%, 0.2% to 2%, and 0.5% to 5%, depending on the selected model.

The manual lists the maximum injection rate deviation as ±10%. Initial calibration is recommended before use to ensure the dosing ratio matches the printed injector scale.

A water filter should be installed before the injector. The manual recommends at least a 120 mesh / 130 micron filter, depending on water quality. Without filtration, abrasive particles may cause premature wear.

Yes. A bypass installation is recommended where the irrigation flow rate is higher than the injector’s maximum recommended flow. The bypass allows only part of the flow to pass through the injector while the remainder continues through the main line.

Yes. If the water flow rate is higher than the maximum nominal flow rate of one injector, the water can be divided between two injectors installed in parallel. If dosing the same fertiliser, both units should be adjusted identically.

The water filter and fertiliser suction filter should be cleaned regularly. If the injector will not be used for a long period, run clean water through it for a few minutes to remove fertiliser residue. If there is a risk of frost below 4°C, drain the water from the injector.
